Thinking of joining WSV Bovenhaven? We are glad you are interested. Please read the conditions below first, then fill in the application form.
A few things first:

You must be a resident of the municipality of Kampen; otherwise our rules do not allow us to process your application.

New members must intend to use our watersports facilities.

The annual membership fee is €31.50. In addition, a one-off charge of €15.75 applies on joining. If a member is allocated a berth, a rental charge is made depending on its dimensions. How the mooring fee is calculated and who to ask for the amount, you can read on the prices page.

When applying, choose berth dimensions that suit your boat. A berth that is too large may be very comfortable for you, but we want to make the fullest use of our space. When a berth is finally allocated, the harbour master will assess whether your boat matches the berth size you requested. If it does not (at the discretion of the harbour master and/or the board), the allocated berth may be withdrawn. This can also happen later if you buy a different boat and keep your berth. Our rules are clear on this point.

If you do not yet have a boat and want its purchase to depend on being allocated a berth, please note this in the berth comments field.

The harbour is almost always fully occupied, so we work with waiting lists. For the berth dimensions you request, we look for a box berth whose size type best matches the length and beam you give. We will inform you about this and put you on a waiting list for that size type.

We allocate new berths in mid-December and January, by which time we have received all cancellations for the following year.

After you submit your membership application we pass it to our admissions committee. They organise a meeting at which new members are told about the Bovenhaven, and after that you become a full (probationary) member. You will then receive an invoice for the membership fee. After a year your probationary membership is converted into full membership. If you do not pay the first membership invoice on time, your membership lapses.
