This statement describes which personal data Bovenhaven Watersports Club processes through this website, for what purpose and for how long.

What data do we process?
Through this website we collect only the data you enter yourself in one of the two forms.
Contact form
First name, surname, email address, telephone number (optional), subject and your message. We use this data solely to answer your question.
Membership application form
Name, address, town, telephone number, email address, date of birth, occupation or skills, and details of your boat and the berth you want. We use this data to process your application and administer your membership.
Both forms use a hidden field to block spam. No personal data is collected through it.
Where does that data go?
A submission is emailed to info@bovenhaven.nl and also stored in this website’s admin area, so that a message is not lost if the email fails to arrive. Only board members with an admin account can view these submissions.
We do not sell your data and do not share it with third parties for commercial purposes.
Cookies and third parties
This website does not place cookies to track you and uses no visitor analytics or advertising networks. That is why there is no cookie notice on the site.
There is one exception: the contact and visitors pages include a Google Maps map. That map is only loaded after you click “Load map” yourself. If you do not click, your browser makes no connection to Google. If you do load the map, Google may process data about your visit in accordance with its own privacy policy. You can also open the map in a new window.
If you log in to the admin area, WordPress places functional cookies needed to keep you logged in. These are not needed for ordinary visitors.
How long do we keep data?
We keep contact messages for as long as we need them to deal with your question. We keep data on members and on people on the waiting list for as long as the membership or waiting-list entry lasts, and thereafter for as long as the law requires (for example for our financial records).
Your rights
- You may request to see what data we hold about you.
- You may ask us to correct or complete that data.
- You may ask us to erase your data, unless we are legally required to keep it.
- You may object to the processing of your data.
Please send an email to info@bovenhaven.nl. We will respond within four weeks. If you disagree with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Security
This website is only accessible over a secure connection (https). The admin area is protected by personal accounts.
