How the bill is made up

- 02
Every year: membership fee
€31.50 per year, in advance. If membership ends during the year, the fee remains due for the whole year. Junior members up to 15 pay at most 50 % of the regular fee; the treasurer can tell you the amount.
- 03
Once you have a berth: mooring fee
Per calendar year, by the width of the box you are allocated; see mooring fee for a permanent berth.
- 04
Only if you use it
Winter storage, the slipway and the shed are charged separately; see winter storage and slipway and shed.
- 05
Working duty
Members help in turn, in practice at most one half-day a year. Anyone who does not cancel in time with the technical committee and does not turn up pays €100.00 per missed call; members aged 65 and over and members with a disability are exempt.
Patrons support the club without being members; ask the treasurer about the options. Apply for membership.
Mooring fee for a permanent berth
The mooring fee is based on the width of the box, not on the size of your boat, and is due per calendar year in advance — even if the boat is temporarily not there.
| Item | Amount |
|---|---|
| Berth mooring fee per year by the width of the box, per calendar year in advance | on request |
| Dinghy jetty and racks per place, per year fixed rate per place, regardless of the boat | on request |

Slipway and shed
Members use the slipway at a rate set by the board; non-members can, if there is an opportunity, use it on request at the day rate. The shed is intended for maintenance of your own boat and is applied for with the technical committee.

Paying, cancelling and reminders
Payment in advance, no refunds
Membership and mooring fees are payable in advance. After 1 December we invoice for the following year; that invoice also shows your waiting-list registration, if any. No refunds are given, not even on cancellation or if you do not take up a berth.
Cancelling before 1 December
Cancel in writing, by email to info@bovenhaven.nl, before 1 December; after that we send the invoice for the following year. Membership ends at the end of the year in which you cancel. Say whether you are giving up only the berth or the whole membership; you will always receive a confirmation.
Late with the mooring fee
If the mooring fee has not been paid four weeks after the invoice, a written reminder follows with a surcharge of €25.00. If payment is still outstanding fourteen days later, a second reminder follows with a surcharge of €50.00. If the mooring fee has still not been paid fourteen days after that, the berth lapses; you receive registered notice of this and then have fourteen days to remove your boat.

Frequently asked questions about prices
What do I pay in total as a new member?
In the first year you pay a one-off €15.75 registration fee and €31.50 membership fee. If you are allocated a berth, the mooring fee for that box is added. You can only become a member if you live in the municipality of Kampen.
What does a permanent berth cost?
The mooring fee depends on the width of the box, not on the size of your boat (harbour rules art. 4.1), and applies per calendar year, payable in advance. The amount per box size is on request from the treasurer; see mooring fee for a permanent berth.
Do I get money back if I cancel or do not use my berth?
No. Membership and mooring fees are not refunded (internal rules art. 6). If membership ends during the year, the membership fee remains payable for the whole year (articles of association art. 4.3). An allocated berth that has not been taken up after six months lapses, without refund of the mooring fee paid.
What does it cost if I do not turn up for working duty?
If you do not cancel in time with the technical committee and fail to turn up, you owe €100.00 per missed call-up (internal rules art. 19). On a second call-up you arrange a replacement, pay that amount again, or the board may terminate your membership. Members aged 65 and over and members with a disability are exempt.
When do the prices change?
The members’ meeting sets the membership fee and the mooring fees each year in March, on the board’s proposal (internal rules art. 8 and 9). The tourist tax is a rate set by the municipality of Kampen and may change from year to year; the amount for storage outside the winter season is indexed annually. The current price level is shown at the top of this page.
