After a long search there is a new harbour master: Frits de Vries. No stranger to many members, as he has belonged to the club for over forty years.
Frits knows the harbour and its members like no one else. In his spare time he fishes and sails, and he plays in a hunting-horn band in Kampen. With his experience and commitment, the board is confident he will make an excellent harbour master.
He has a message of his own for the members: let us keep the atmosphere in the harbour a pleasant one. Treat each other and the board with respect, and try to avoid gossip and talking behind backs. A club runs, after all, on cooperation, understanding and a little looking out for one another.
And there is still a place open
With the departure of one of the harbour masters the team is not yet up to strength. Who will help Meindert, Henk and Frits in turn to give our visiting boats a warm welcome? Harbour masters receive a volunteer’s allowance. Get in touch at info@bovenhaven.nl.
